The Folk Art Festival of New England is pleased to once again be holding a raffle in support of the great work of THE AUTISM RESOURCE CENTER OF CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS. This center services over 2,700 children and their families affected by disorders within the Autism Spectrum, providing support, information, and referrals, as well as sponsoring programs, activities, and community events, including community outreach.
The special benefit raffle, now in its 5th year, continues to be made possible by the extraordinary generosity of the talented artist and artisans exhibiting at the show. This year, nearly one hundred art pieces – many one-of- a kind - have been donated for this worthy cause. 100% of the proceeds of the raffle will again go directly to The Center.
The Folk Art Festival of New England is especially proud to announce that new this year, each winner of an exhibitor-donated item will also receive an original art piece designed by a child affected by autism in the form of a hand-painted wooden plaque in the shape of a puzzle piece, the international symbol of autism. In collaboration with Ohio folk artist, Mo Dallas and the organizers of The Folk Art Festival of New England, these colorful symbols of hope were created by children attending a camp this past August sponsored by THE AUTISM RESOURCE CENTER OF CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS.
